How to take care of a wooden cup
For cold beverages you dont have too much to worry about but please still read the following –
For the first three days before using it, you can acclimate the cup to the humidity of your home; rinse it with warm water once a day and let it air dry. After a few days it will be ready to use.
Never pour boiling water directly into the cup, make your hot drinks in a teapot or coffee maker (if it’s too hot to drink, it’s too hot for the cup!).
If the cup is exceptionally cold, warm it slightly before pouring in very hot liquid. Similarly, if the cup is exceptionally hot, cool it before pouring in very cold liquid.
Hand wash your item in warm soapy water and air dry, do not soak or put in the dishwasher.
Do not leave the cup in water for an extended period of time, and do not leave liquid in the cup for extended periods (overnight, for example).
There may be small, light leaks through the wood at first – this will stop with use. Or apply a small amount of walnut oil and allow to dry if this persists.
Full refund on item if cracks appear from normal use in first two weeks from when item is received.
50% refund on item if cracks appear from normal use between two weeks and four months from when item is received.
Thank you and enjoy your wooden cup!
