My name is Jaz, I am an English woodcarver and pole lathe turner based in the East Midlands, UK. I design and make beautiful everyday items that inspire use!

Influenced by the process and the medium, I embrace and welcome the charming imperfections of a natural material like wood; at the same time I obsess over finish and design. In the middle ground I hope to deliver hand crafted items with warmth and finesse, not disconnected from the tree and the tools that I’ve used.

The tool rolls and other textile products available on this site are made by Lydia (@reaptextiles), a sewist based in the East Midlands, UK.

The principle of Reap Textiles is to use second-hand or factory second materials to create useful objects which are designed to be used for a long time.
